You're right, Corey, I should have laid out the criteria. For the purposes of the list, I defined "important" as culturally and musically influential, not just good or popular. Important signifying a turning point in popular music. But the list is still only what I think is "important." You?
Oh, me? I don't know. I can appreciate why those selections made the list. I saw Rock the Bells last night- doc. about this concert promoter who puts his ass on the line and refinances his house in the hopes of reuniting the entire WuTang Clan for one show. According to many of the MC's in the film, they was extremely influential in the hip hop world- paving the way for ensemble acts like the roots, J5, etc. And it's true. wu tang clan AINT nothin to fuck with. you should check it out.
